14 Tips For Your 14 Years

 -Loving yourself is the most important thing a girl can do. You can’t just say it, you have to mean it. I want you to be comfortable and confident in yourself, and most importantly I want you to grow up to be a kind, strong and brilliant person just like your sisters. Know that it’s okay to be different. Never let anybody make you feel less about yourself. Don’t be afraid to say no. Having a boy doesn’t determine how beautiful you are, and a boy that only wants you for your body, isn’t good enough for you. Remember that you are loved unconditionally. These are just a few of the things I wish I knew when I was 14.

Surround yourself with people that accept you no matter what and genuinely care for your well being. Naiya

Put yourself first. Always. Don’t let anyone tell you what to do if you don’t want to do it, wear what you don’t want to wear, or what to think if it doesn’t feel right. At the end of the day, you’re the one living with the weight of your decisions. Do what’s right for you. Aeryn

If they’re flirting with you and they’re more than one grade above, it doesn’t mean you’re “lucky”. It means they’re creepy. Don’t let them smooth talk you into anything. Stay grounded and realistic.  Aeryn

-Hang out with people who will listen to you and help you. It’s important to find people who truly care about you and vice versa. Maya

-Seniors don’t have good intentions. Kimberly

-When making friends, find people with similar interests and that are good to you. Guaranteed you’ll find some, but don’t be discouraged if you don’t/if you lose friends. Ashley 

-Be kind. Treat those around you with kindness and eventually it will come back to you. Arden

-Life is temporary. Appreciate the beautiful moments and in the hard ones, remind yourself it will not last forever. –Arden
