I text you in the early morning when I wake before you and you text me when I am fast asleep as you study for APUSH.

Think about all the stars and the way even though we are miles apart, we are admiring the same crooked constellation.

I miss you endlessly and seeing you only once every month (if we are lucky) kills me.

Love is a terrifying thing to consume but you seem to present it on a golden plate.

You and your blue eyes meet my green ones and the world pauses

but not us.

I’m not sure how this all happened, but I don’t really think there needs to be a reason or explanation.

Scared squirrels run out of our path as we dance along the sidewalk and butterflies trace our skin.
