Where has the time gone?
It seems just yesterday
You were full of life and laughter,
Eyes never fading to a gray.
In truth it’s been several months,
11 to be exact.
It feels like just yesterday
We were together,
laughing until we couldn’t breathe
Yet slowly losing ourselves
more and more every minute.
There isn’t a moment I don’t miss you
and I’ve never felt the same comfort
as you gave me.
You’re gone and you can’t read this.
You aren’t coming back and I can’t accept that.
It’s not fair.
You didn’t deserve this.
I didn’t either.
I sit here,
all alone writing to someone whom will never read these words.
